Dave and Marian fell for this spot in 2019, drawn in by the peace and the views over the Gorge. They have spent the years since turning it into the calm, contemporary stay it is today.
Every room is finished to a proper standard, the breakfast is cooked fresh each morning, and there is always time for a chat over coffee about where to walk and where to eat. You will likely be greeted by one of the three resident cats, a wise old tabby and two black and white boys, who consider the garden very much their own.

The Woodlands sits up on Orchard Lane, surrounded by Shropshire countryside and looking down towards the River Severn. The noise drops away, the views open up, and the whole of the Ironbridge Gorge is on your doorstep.

Cooked fresh each morning by Dave, with produce from the local butcher and baker, and served at a table looking straight out over the countryside. Guests call it "cooked to perfection" and, more than once, "unbelievable."
