The Smash Room started with a simple frustration: nowhere local was giving bands a decent room to play loud at a price they could actually afford. So two brothers built one.
The Smash Room was set up in 2009 by experienced musicians Andrew Eastment and his brother Steven, to cater for local and travelling bands and artists who needed quality rehearsal facilities at a competitive price.
They knew what a band needs on a weeknight, because they were that band. Rooms that are ready to go. Backline that works. Isolation good enough to play flat out. And a price that does not punish you for practising.
What began as rehearsal rooms grew, room by room, into a full recording studio, an electronics repair bench and a music shop. Same building, same people, same idea: look after the musicians and the rest takes care of itself.
