Gutter Clearing
Cleared with a vac. Checked with a camera.
A blocked gutter is the cheapest problem you will ever have and the most expensive one to ignore. Darren clears yours from the ground, and shows you what came out.
Two real gutters in Telford, both photographed from the pole camera.
Why the vac
Nothing gets leaned against your house.
The old way is a ladder against the guttering and a hand in the channel. The problem is that the ladder is resting on the very thing that is already full of water, and whoever is up there can only reach as far as the ladder is standing.
Vac from the ground
Poles go up, the machine stays down. Moss, silt, leaves and grit come out into the drum instead of onto your patio.
Camera on the pole
A camera on the end means the blockage is found rather than guessed at, all the way along the run and into the corners.
You see the proof
The photos are taken as the job goes. Ask for them and you will get them, so you know it is done and not just started.
What a blocked gutter actually does
It never stays a gutter problem.
- Water runs over the front and down the wall, so the render stays wet
- Wet walls go green, then they start letting damp through inside
- Standing water is heavy, and brackets pull away from the fascia
- Soaked ground at the base of the wall is the start of a much bigger bill
- Moss holds the water against the roof edge all winter
Most houses in Telford want doing once a year. If you have trees near the roof line, twice.
