Everything grows up there.
It is the one panel on your caravan that nobody inspects, because you would need a ladder and somewhere safe to stand to see it at all.
Algae and lichen take hold first, then moss packs itself into the seams around the rooflights and vents. Add a winter of pine needles, leaf litter, traffic film and black streaks running down from the rubber seals, and the roof holds damp against your caravan for months at a time.
By the time it shows on the sides, it has been up there a long while.
Brian cleans. He does not carry out repairs or damp work, so nothing he tells you is a pitch for a job he wants to sell you.

Ceramic foam, for the months it sits still.
A caravan spends far more of the year parked than it does on the road. Ceramic foam is what stops the next winter undoing the clean you have just paid for.
The coating stops grime and dirt sticking to the surfaces and leaves a hydrophobic layer, so rain beads and runs instead of sitting there feeding the algae. Brian rates it at up to three months of winter protection.
- Protection. A barrier between your gel coat and the weather.
- Durability. It holds up through the wet months, not just the first shower.
- Hydrophobicity. Water beads and sheets off rather than sitting on the panel.
- Appearance. It stays looking cleaned for a great deal longer.

Every clean comes with a free look at the parts you cannot get to, and photographs of anything worth knowing about.
Damp is the most expensive thing that can happen to a caravan, and it almost always starts at a seam or a seal that has quietly begun to lift. Brian is on his ladder with his face inches from every one of them for four hours.
So if he sees a seal starting to go, a rooflight that has cracked or crazed, moss packed hard into a joint, or a mastic line that has pulled away, he photographs it and sends it to you.
There is no charge and no upsell. He does not do repairs, so he has nothing to gain from telling you. You simply get to hear about it while it is still a small job.
The caravan year.
Brian is not seasonal, he works all twelve months. But your caravan is, and there are two points in the year when a clean is worth far more than it costs.
September and October
End of season
The important one. Everything the summer put on the roof gets sealed under six months of wet if you leave it. Book before the first frost.

Ceramic foam earns its £45 here. A clean panel under a hydrophobic coating comes out of storage looking like it went in.

What Brian will not do.
Worth saying plainly, because he gets asked constantly and would rather you did not waste a phone call.
- No cars. He does not valet cars, and he will not take one on as a favour.

- No repairs. He cleans and protects. He will tell you what he sees, then leave the fixing to a specialist.
